Most women come to us for the first time believing they will never find a bra they love to wear post-surgery, but in reality they just haven't had a fitting with someone who has the experience and knowledge to help. If you're not sure where to start when it comes to shopping for bras post-surgery, let us take the stress out of it for you with a privtate, one-on-one mastectomy bra fitting at our specialist bra fitting shop in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.
EXPERT CARE & ADVICE
Fittings are about working together to find your perfect fit, so we always start with getting to know your surgery type, comfort priorities, any sensitive areas you might have and what you're looking for from your new bra. We always recommend waiting at least 6 weeks after surgery before having your first mastectomy bra fitting.
Fittings are completely private and always guided by our Anita Care accredited fitters who have years of experience. Instead of using a tape measure we expertly fit by eye, starting with assessing the fit of your current bra to suggest and try on different styles and sizes, adjusting and assessing as we go to find something you'll genuinely love to wear. We will always make sure your fit is extra perfect, bringing both unmatched attention to detail and genuine care to your fitting.
It's totally normal to feel nervous before your fitting, especially if you've never had one before or it's your first fitting post-surgery. The biggest thing to remember is we are never judging you or your body, we are only focused on finding a bra that's perfect for you. You'll never have to take your bra off in front of us at any point during your fitting and we'll always ask before coming into the fitting room or opening the curtain. Making you feel comfortable and at ease is our priority.
OUR COLLECTION
We are very intentional when selecting new styles for our post-surgery collection, with beautifully soft bras featuring pocketed cups and thoughtful details, along with ultra-lightweight breast forms expertly designed for the most natural feel and comfortable fit. We also stock a collection of mastectomy swimwear and swimming forms.
HOW TO GET A FITTING
We welcome walk-in fittings Monday to Saturday and have two private fitting spaces - an accessible ground floor fitting room and our upstairs studio space.
While you don't *need* an appointment to get fitted, we always recommend it if you have a day and time in mind. Booking allocates you a bra fitter and your chosen time slot - which means you won't have to come back if our fitters are busy with other clients (which can sometimes happen with walk-ins on busy days!)
